Dairy products such as plain yogurt or sour cream can help reverse the damage air pollution and styling products do to your hair. Got dull hair that just won’t shine? Lactic acid removes the buildup of dirt, while the fat from milk moisturizes it.

Greasy or Oily Hair

Cornmeal is an inexpensive food ingredient that absorbs grease like there’s no tomorrow.

Measure out a tablespoon of cornstarch or cornmeal onto a pepper or salt shaker, then sprinkle it into your hair and scalp. Wait for 10 minutes, then brush it out with a paddle hairbrush. Do this every other day.

Frizzy Hair

Avocados are great for treatment against frizzy hair. It has the best combination of oils and proteins that are perfect for taming that unruly hair and smoothing it out.

Dry Hair

Honey is the super solution for dry hair. It’s a natural humectant in that it locks in moisture and keeps away the elements that may dry your hair.

Massage half a cup of organic honey onto your damp hair. Let it stay for around 20 minutes, then rinse it off with warm water. Do this once a month.

If you’re in between all of these, then the egg is a great choice. The yolk is rich in proteins and essential fats, while the whites are excellent for removing excessive oil. You can make use of the egg as a whole for normal hair, the whites for treating oily hair, and the yolk for curing dry, brittle hair.

Use half a cup of egg mixture depending on what you need, the put it onto your damp hair. Leave it on for around 20 minutes, then rinse it off with cold water. The yolk hair treatment may be done once a month, while the whites treatment may be done once every 2 weeks.
