Essential oils improve memory by stimulating an opening of emotional blocks.
Peppermint improves mental concentration and memory. Dr. William N. Dember conducted a study at the University of Cincinnati in 1994 showing that inhaling peppermint increased mental accuracy by 28 percent.
The fragrance of diffused oils such as lemon have also been reported to increase memory retention and recall.
Memory Recipe 1:
- 5 drops basil
- 10 drops rosemary cineol
- 2 drops peppermint
- 4 drops helichrysum
Memory Recipe 2:
- 4 drops lavender
- 3 drops geranium
- 3 drops rosewood
- 3 drops rosemary cineol
- 2 drops tangerine
- 1 drop spearmint
- 2 drops tansy
Applications:
- Topical: dilute 20-80, apply 1-3 drops on temples, forehead, mastoids, and/or brainstem.
- Inhalation: direct, 2-6 times per day as needed.
